Hi! My name is Lumumba Seegars, and I am originally from Houston, Texas. I have always loved music, politics, and education. Both of my parents are ministers, and I grew up strongly anchored in my church. In college, I majored in Social Studies, and most of my research focused on the intersections between identity formation, race, and education. After college, I taught high school special education and math in Atlanta, Georgia. I then spent a year working as a full time singer and actor in New York City. My next adventure was in southern central Pennsylvania for six months during the last presidential election. I currently live in Detroit, Michigan, and I am incredibly excited to be learning about digital fabrication!
